Creating and editing Smart Schedules

The Themo Smart Schedule function is designed to optimise heating costs by allowing users to set a preferred temperature for when they are at home. This feature requires the device to be connected to the internet via a local Wi-Fi network.

When setting up the Themo device through the mobile app, users will be prompted to select the room and floor type where the device is installed.  After completing the setup, Themo configures itself accordingly and set a default schedule and temperature limits tailored to that room. This default schedule and temperature limits are based on typical usage patterns  for heating in that specific type of space.

However, it's important to note that creating or adding new schedules is possible at any time in the future via Themo app.

Creating a new schedule

1. Select the room where you want to add / change a schedule.

2. Click the Schedules button in the bottom of the screen.

4. In the Schedules screen, all created schedules for the device are listed. If you want, you can create several schedules for your needs, eg. “at home” or “away from home”. Only one schedule can be active at a time. You can create up to 5 different schedules stored for this device. Click Create new schedule button to add schedule.

NOTE! By using the smart schedule for the time of absence, you get the benefit of price optimisation. The OFF mode keeps the minimum heat manually without optimisation.

5. When creating new schedule you can select one from pre-made schedules and use them as a starting point for your own schedule. Tap the name of the schedule to start editing or create new schedule with button below the screen.

6. In the Edit Schedule screen you can give your schedule a unique name and see the minimum temperature setpoints for each weekday. Tap on the temperature bar to add new timeblocks for the day.

Note! Changing the schedule name is not possible after creating the schedule.

7. In the Day Editor you can create individual timeblocks for the desired minimum temperature of the floor or room. Use the scroll selector to adjust temperature for the current timeblock. To edit from and until time tap on the edit button.

NOTE! The timing of Themo differs from a traditional thermostat in the way that for Themo, you select the time when you want the floor to be at a certain temperature. Themo will always start pre-heating your room before the scheduled time-block, to achieve the desired temperature on time.

8. In the Time-block Editor you can:

  1. Select the From time from when the floor should be in the desired temperature:
  2. Select the Until time for the floor to be heated.
  3. Select the desired Minimum Temperature for the floor to be heated to.

NOTE! If the timeblock overlaps with the existing ones, when you save the changes, the existing timeblocks will be overwritten.

The minimum temperature means that the temperature does not go below this temperature during this period. However, the algorithm often keeps the rooms a little warmer at these times so that price optimisation is most efficient.

The Minimum temperature can not exceed the Schedule Limit set for the room.

Don't forget to Save the time-block when completed.

9. Once you have created the desired heating program for the day, you can copy the same day program to other days by first pressing copy for the day and then pressing paste for the other days. Click again on copied day to stop copying.

9. Once you have completed your schedule, tap the Set schedule button in the bottom of the screen to save this schedule to your schedules list. You can select to use the same schedule for other devices in your device group.

11. Once you have set your schedule, you will be taken back to the Schedule screen. To delete schedules click on the edit icon in the top right corner and then select which schedules you want to delete. When finished, click Done editing button on the bottom of the screen.

12. Go back to Dashboard to see which schedule is active. Name of the active schedule appears in the device state card.
